Pre-Care Instructions
- SHAVE area clean immediately before treatment; DO NOT wax or use a depilatory for 1-2 weeks before a treatment.
- Patient should not suntan or use self-tanners for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.
- Patient should avoid treatments that may irritate the skin (depilatories, harsh chemicals, etc.) for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment.
Post-Care Instructions
- Body will slough in 2-3 weeks.
- Pigmented lesions may darken. Allow these to slough off naturally.
- Mild petechiae redness or swelling.
- Cleanse area with a gentle cleanser 24 hours after treatment.
- If Blisters develop, treat as wounds.
- Use Acetaminophen for mild discomfort; use antihistamine and/or apply 1% hydrocortisone cream for itching.
- Use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen.
- AVOID sun exposure for 2 to 4 weeks following treatment.
- AVOID hot showers, tanning, saunas for 1 week.
- DO NOT pick, scratch, or unroof blisters if they occur.
- NO strenuous exercise for 72 hours post treatment.
Please Call If:
- Increased redness or swelling.
- Uncomfortable blisters, yellowish or greenish drainage, and/or persistent pain that lasts more than 24 hours.
