Pre-Care Instructions
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo and won’t chafe the site after the procedure.
- SHAVE area clean immediately before treatment; DO NOT wax or use a depilatory for 1-2 weeks before a treatment.
- Patient should not suntan or use self-tanners for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.
- Patient should avoid treatments that may irritate the skin (depilatories, harsh chemicals, etc.) for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment.
Post-Care Instructions
- Scabbing, redness, or swelling over the treatment area is expected and may last 7 to 14 days.
- Pigmented lesions may darken. Allow these to slough off naturally.
- Cleanse area with a gentle cleanser 24 hours after treatment.
- Apply Aquaphor & dry non-stick dressing for 3 days post treatment or until skin is healed.
- Use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen.
- AVOID sun exposure for 2 to 4 weeks following treatment.
- NO hot showers, tanning, saunas for a week.
- DO NOT unroof blisters if they occur.
Please Call If:
- Increased redness or swelling.
- Uncomfortable blisters, yellowish or greenish drainage, persistent pain that lasts more than 24 hours.
